Girls Inc asked me to shoot photos of their 2010 fund raising luncheon this year. I was happy to do so. I have a daughter, and I’m very supportive of the work that Girls Inc does.
The Luncheon was a smashing success. It was in the pavilion at Scott’s Restaurant in Jack London Square. (You can see the background looks like tent material, that’s the pavilion for you.)

Julianne and Bret got married at the Mormon Temple in Oakland on a rainy day in February.
Weddings at the LDS temple are private. The guests and the photographer (me) wait for the bride and groom to come out. Mormon temples are gorgeous, so we always get a lot of photos in front of and around the temple.
After shooting at the temple, we went to the Oakhurst Country Club in Clayton, where we looked for spots that were covered from the rain but still had nice backgrounds for photos, before moving on to the photojournalistic shots of the reception.

Today, I was on a photo safari, and went to Oakland’s Chapel of the Chimes.
I’ve been in the doorway before, but this is the first time I explored the place as a photographer. I could have spent all month there. All in ages shot in RAW. Adjustments were made in contrast, color, saturation. These photos are meant to represent how I saw and experienced the chapel more than how you would see it if you went yourself.
