A few weeks ago I was going for a walk in my own neighborhood. This woman was raking leaves in front of her house. She made some comment about how many leaves there were to rake. I stopped to agree with her and before I knew it she was telling me stories from her life as a nurse in Oakland. We must’ve talked for 20 minutes. She was shy and flattered when I asked if I could take her picture. I wish I had been videoing her the entire time. #Oakland #Berkeley #streetphotography #portrait
